Ohio Attorneys: This course has been approved by the Supreme Court of Ohio Commission on Continuing Legal Education for 04.00 total CLE hours of instruction. Please bring your bar number to the seminar for reporting purposes.

Ohio CPAs/Accountants: Ohio recognizes NASBA registered sponsors and their courses. Credit Calculation: NASBA allows one-half CPE credit increments (equal to 25 minutes) after the first credit has been earned in a given learning activity. Please check with your state accountancy board to see if they allow half-credit increments. Partial credits allowed based on actual attendance (50 minutes = 1.0 credit / rounded down to half / minimum 1.0 credit). PESI does not report credits earned.

Enrolled Agents: PESI has entered into an agreement with the Office of Director of Practice, Internal Revenue Service, to meet the requirements of Treasury Department Circular 230, 10.6(g), covering maintenance of attendance records, retention of program outlines, qualification of instructors, and length of class hours. This agreement does not constitute an edorsement by the Director of Practice as to the quality of the program or its contribution to the professional competence of the enrolled individual. Speaker: William Browning

William Browning is a partner with the Columbus law firm of Browning & Meyer. The firm's practice focuses on estate planning and administration, elder law, trusts, and Medicaid. Mr. Browning is a certified elder law attorney by the National Elder Law Foundation. He is a frequent speaker to community groups and other professionals on elder law and estate planning, including many CLE seminars on estate planning for the elderly and disabled sponsored by the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, and the Ohio State and Columbus bars. Mr. Browning authored an amicus brief for the U.S. Supreme Court on behalf of the Ohio State Bar and NAELA. He has also been a guest lecturer for The Ohio State University and Capital University law schools. Mr. Browning is a fellow and a past president of NAELA, a member of the Columbus Bar (Probate and Trust Section and former chair of the Elder Law Committee) and a former board member of the Central Ohio Agency on Aging Advisory Panel and the Arthritis Foundation.

Speaker: Gregory S. French

Gregory S. French, CELA and AV rated, has helped older and disabled persons and their families with retirement, estate, disability, and long-term care planning and problem solving for 31 years. He is a NAELA Fellow and served on the National Elder Law Foundation's Board of Certification when it developed its ABA-accredited certification program. Mr. French has served on the NAELA Board and its Executive Committee and has chaired its Long-Range Planning and Program committees. He currently chairs NAELA's Professionalism and Ethics Committee and serves on the Medicaid Deficit Reduction Act Task Force of the Public Policy Committee. In 2006 he received both the NAELA President's Recognition Award and the Laury Adsit Gelardi UnAward. Mr. French helped found and chaired the Ohio State Bar Association's Elder Law Committee, served on its Special Committee on Specialization, and is a member of its Council of Delegates. He served on the committee that drafted Ohio's original model advance directives and on the blue ribbon committee to implement the recommendations of the Ohio Legal Needs Study. Mr. French founded the Cincinnati Bar Association's Elder Law Committee and served as its chair for four years. He also has served on the Bar Association's Ethics Committee, the Board of Trustees' Community Services Committee, and the Estate Planning and Probate Committee. Mr. French has been selected by his peers as a Cincy Leading Lawyer and as an Ohio Super Lawyer. He co-authors Anderson's Ohio Elder Law Practice Manual and has been awarded the Paul Lichterman Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Services for Older Americans, presented for enduring contributions to the fields of law and aging.

Speaker: Richard F. Meyer

Richard F. Meyer is a partner of Browning & Meyer Co., LPA, in Columbus, Ohio. He focuses practice on elder law, probate, and customized estate planning, including special needs trusts and asset protection planning. He is an OSBA Certified Specialist in Estate Planning, Trusts & Probate Law and a Member of the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys (NAELA), the Ohio State Bar Association Trust & Estate Section, Elder Law Committee, Columbus Bar Association Probate Committee. He is a frequent speaker in the elder law, estate planning and probate related fields for the National Academy of Elder Law Attorneys, Ohio State Bar Association and National Business Institute. Mr. Meyer has a Martindale-Hubbell Rating of AV, which indicates very high to pre-eminent legal ability and very high ethical standards as established by confidential opinions from members of the Bar. He graduated from Capital University Law School, Columbus, Ohio (J.D., 1980) and Marietta College, Marietta, Ohio (B.A., cum laude, 1977).
